Today was my first day at the gym. I had a meeting with a trainer to take all of my stats and stuff to see my starting point. I'm not going to lie, I was a little disappointed that I had gained 13 lbs back after having my gallbladder removed last June. But I'm not going to let that keep me down! I have a goal in mind and I'm going to reach it. We started off with an endurance test where I had to step up on this platform for 3 minutes, while keeping in time with the beat of this little clicker thing he had. About a minute into it, my legs started shaking and I the room started spinning. I seriously thought I was about to hit the floor right then. But I pushed myself through and I was determined I WAS NOT going to quit. So even though I was having an asthma attack, I just kept on going. I made it to 3 minutes, I had to stop a couple of times, but I made it and that's all that matters. During some of the weight machines, he actually had to increase the amount of weights I was using because I was doing better than he expected. However, when we got to crunches, I only got 36 in a minute. I told him I felt like a walrus laying there trying to do crunches. I should get all of my results back by tomorrow and then my workouts will be customized to me in their computer program. I downloaded an app to track my food intake and he told me exactly how much I should be eating every day to reach my goal weight. I'm feeling really positive and I'm already looking forward to heading back in tomorrow! If anyone has any healthy food recipes to send my way, please do so....trying to change my whole way of thinking when it comes to food is going to be a little difficult. Tonight I tried quinoa for the first time and I really liked it, I mixed it with ground turkey and put it inside of a bell pepper and baked it. It was really good!
